Join us in celebrating our incredible founder Jonathan Irwin with a walk around the Curragh Racecourse.

To mark the 10th Anniversary of Up the Hill for Jack and Jill, we are kicking off a summer with an extra-special Up the Hill evening walk to celebrate the birthday of our pioneering founder, Jonathan Irwin, whom we sadly lost in December.

Registration begins from 6:00 PM with refreshments and entertainment, followed by a DJ set from Deborah and John from Naas Radio and then Warm-Up with Mary from Kill Fitness at 6:45. The 5km course walk will take place at 7:00 PM sharp.

Jonathan was larger than life. He truly celebrated life; despite all the challenges he faced in losing three children. We want to encourage the many people whose lives he touched to join us for a celebration of Jonathan’s life, and his joie de vivre, by going Up the Hill for Jack and Jill, and Jonathan, on Friday, 21st June from 6 PM - the summer solstice – which incidentally was Jonathan’s birthday!

Tickets are €18 per person, family tickets for two adults and children under 16 years are €25.

All funds raised will help to support over 400 families in Ireland with vital in-home nursing and respite care.

Help us keep our children at home

We are a nationwide charity providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of 6 with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay.

Another key part of our service is end of life care for all children up to the age of 6, irrespective of diagnosis.

What our Families Say

"It was such a relief to have someone in the early days to walk us through all this, the complexities are easier to face when there is Jack and Jill expertise to guide you through everything, from establishing a routine for your child’s care needs to organising supplies and how you order your oxygen etc. It’s so much more than the break you get, it’s that support when you’re trying to figure it all out."

"We use our Jack and Jill hours to bring or collect Jake from school. It gives him a sense of normality, because he had to grow up so quickly when Olivia came along. He struggled with senior infants but I think that was mostly due to us being back and forth from hospital. He loves first class this year, which is great."

"I’m a single parent, my job is 24/7 there is no time off, no holidays, no time to be sick. My son Jack has a rare condition called OberKlind Danks Syndrome, there are about 50 cases in the world. Finding out your child has a condition that is lifelong and in cases life limiting, isn’t easy. I was told he may never walk, talk or eat and I would be doing the job of 10 Mothers. Through the extreme highs & the extreme lows Jack and Jill have been the constant thread in my life since the very beginning."

"Ellie is a little fighter and has done much better than predicted. She continues to amaze us.Our nurses are like part of the family and it is wonderful when they come. I feel comfortable and reassured that Ellie will be well looked after and I can get a real break."
